Questions

Frequently asked questions

What happens at the first visit?

You talk with your doctor about how you were hurt and what your job involves. Then comes an exam, a written plan and a work-status note. A first visit takes about 45 minutes.

What are the risks of chiropractic care?

Every treatment has risks. Some people are sore for a day after an adjustment. Rare serious problems have been reported, including after neck techniques. Your doctor explains the risks before any treatment, and you can decline any part. If you have a sudden severe headache, new weakness or numbness, or chest pain, call 911 first.

Will it hurt?

Most people feel pressure and sometimes a pop during an adjustment, and some feel sore afterward. Tell your doctor right away if anything feels wrong. Treatment stops when you ask.

How many visits will I need?

Your doctor sets a plan after the exam and reviews it as you go. We don't promise a number of visits; it depends on you, your job and your claim.

Do you take my workers' compensation claim?

We see patients on work-injury claims. Call with your claim number, your employer's name and the date you were hurt, and we confirm with the payer before we book you.

What if I don't use insurance, or my claim is denied?

You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. We give you a written estimate before the visit, and you decide whether to go ahead.

Do I need X-rays?

Only when medically necessary. Your doctor explains why before any X-ray is taken.

Can I bring my child, or come while pregnant?

We see adults. If you are pregnant, tell us when you book; your doctor explains what care is possible and asks you to check with your OB or midwife first. For a child, we point you to a provider who sees children.

What if I have seen another provider?

Tell us who and when. With your permission we share notes, and we don't undo anyone else's plan.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please call us as early as you can if you need to change a visit. Ask the front desk about our cancellation policy.
