Your first visit
What happens at your first visit
A first visit takes about 45 minutes. You talk, your doctor examines you, and you leave with a written plan and a work-status note.
X-rays are taken only when medically necessary. Your doctor explains the risks of any treatment before it starts, and you can say no to any part.
What to bring
Your claim number, if you have one
Your employer's name and the date you were hurt
A list of what you take and what you have tried
Comfortable clothes you can move in
